THE SLOW AND EASY is a four-piece rock and roll band based in Toronto, ON.
Blending heavy psychedelic blues with a soulful sensibility, their dynamic 60s/70s sound is influenced by artists such as Albert King, Janis Joplin, Heart, Free, Jimi Hendrix and Joni Mitchell.
Formed in late 2020 by vocalist Kel Bennett, The Slow and Easy released their first single accompanied by a music video in November 2021, followed by the release of their debut LP, I Go Where The Time Moves Me on July 15, 2022. After undergoing a drastic lineup change and gaining a newfound energy empowered by a fresh rhythm section featuring drummer Nick Roussel and Tarun Dawar on bass, along with Liam Deak now on lead guitar, The Slow and Easy entered Palace Sound Studios in the spring of 2023 to record their new EP titled Hand Me Down, self-released on January 24th, 2024.
